ENVIRONMENT

WEEE Regulations

The "Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment" regulations came into effect on 1st July 2007. This places the onus of responsibility for recycling waste lamps with manufacturers and importers.

To cover the cost of recycling, manufacturers apply a WEEE levy that is passed along the supply chain. All relevant product prices that we quote to our customers will be inclusive of this levy.

Affected lamps are Gas Discharge products: Linear fluorescent lamps Compact fluorescent lamps Sodium lamps Metal Halide lamps

Lamp disposal and recycling

It is no longer possible to dispose of spent lamps using regular waste collection facilities.

For information regarding recycling packages please call us on 0800 652 4425.
